Date: Thursday, October 22, 2009
Time: 1:30-3:00 pm
Place: Cambridge Room, Fairmount Hotel,
Cost: Free
Purpose: To hear your views about the following:
What is the continuum of services required to address the needs of (1)
older adults with or at risk of mental health problems, and (2) their
caregivers?
Is there anything missing? How would you fill these gaps (are you aware of
any services that do?)
Have you any suggestions for better addressing the needs of older adults
with mental health problems (and their caregivers) in an integrated and
seamless manner? (Who needs to be involved? Issues related to transition
points)
In your experience are there any issues related to how services are
resourced, organized or integrated, or related to accessibility, that we
need should be aware of? How might these be addressed in an improved care
system?
We are looking for examples of excellent services/service models, and
especially those that are supported by some evidence. As well we are also
looking for examples of mental health promotion in your communities. Can
you provide any examples?
