CAG Awards and Bursaries

The Canadian Association on Gerontology awards and bursaries provide opportunities to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of gerontology and to the CAG itself as well as to support and encourage students who will play a significant role in the future of this field.

The CAG has five awards and two bursaries.

• CAG Distinguished Member Award
• CAG Award for Contribution to Gerontology
• CAG Honorary Membership
• Evelyn Shapiro Mentoring Award (awarded every 2 years, beginning in 2006 )
• Betty Havens Award in Longitudinal Research (awarded every 2 years, beginning in 2007)

• CAG Donald Menzies Bursary
• CAG Margery Boyce Bursary
• Schlegel-University of Waterloo Research Institute for Aging Scholarship
