Air Canada

Air Canada is the official airline for ASEM2012. Air Canada is offering a 10% discount for people travelling to Vancouver from other parts of Canada and a 10%-12% discount between from the USA and international destinations. Eligible fares include Executive First Class Flexible, Latitude and Tango Plus for North American travel and Executive First Flexible and Executive First Lowest C Class Fares, Latitude and Tango Plus and Tango for travel between Canada and international destinations.

To use the promotional code, you must book your flight on the Air Canada website. Enter the code in "Promotional Code" box on the search panel. The promotional code is 4FBXU2M1. The promotion code is valid for travel from October 11 to October 27, 2012.

Online Booking Tips: You have to log in to your profile, or create one prior to booking. On the passenger information screen, select “Convention fare” from the "Discount Type" drop-down menu and enter the discount code for CAG2012 in the Discount code box. The conference rate will be shown on the next page.

Ground Transportation

The cost of a taxi between Vancouver airport and the downtown area where the conference is being held is approximately $30. The Canada Line, an above and below ground subway-type train, is the quickest and most economical way to get to downtown Vancouver. Travel time is only 25 minutes. The fare from the airport is $8.50 with concessions for students and seniors. The closest station to the Hyatt is Vancouver Centre. The hotel is a 4 block walk on Georgia street from the station. If staying at the Day's Inn, get off at Waterfront Station. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station.
