CAG 2010 Travel Grant

CAG Online Travel Grant Application Form

NOTE: The Quebec network for research on aging (RQRV) will support its graduate and post-graduate student members via its regular Travel Awards program to present research findings at Canadian or international scientific events.

The form must be filled directly on the RQRV web site

The deadline is September 15, 2010.

CAG has applied for funds from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada's Program of Attendance Grants to Scholarly Associations. This grant is to assist students and presenters traveling to Montréal, Québec to attend the CAG 39th Annual Scientific and Educational Meeting (ASEM).

CAG Travel Grant: Eligibility in order of Priority:

  1. Student members who are identified as part of an accepted Abstract and are both presenting and attending the full conference.
  2. All other members who are identified as part of an accepted Abstract and are both presenting and attending the full conference and who do not have access to institutional travel funds.
  3. All other members who are identified as part of an accepted Abstract and are both presenting and attending the full conference that do not have sufficient institutional travel funds.

Administering the Funds

A proportion of funds will be distributed according to the following table:

B. 101 to 500 km Fees + 50%T 50%T 30%T
C. 501 to 1000 km Fees + 60%T 60%T 40%T
D. Beyond 1000 km Fees + 70%T 70%T 50%T
  • 'Fees' refers to student registration fees.
  • 'T' refers to transportation costs based on the "least cost fare".
  • To receive your travel grant from the CAG, please mail your original travel receipts to the CAG office after the conference has taken place.
  • Please note that where there are more applicants than funds available, individual awards will be split between all applicants.
  • The deadline for application is August 31, 2010 and notification of accepted applications will be sent out by September 30, 2010.

Note: To pay lower fees to attend the 39th ASEM, you must register on or before November 2, 2010.

Please note that applications received after Sept 7, 2010 will NOT be considered.
